PPM-Primary Pump(Mechanical)

Ensure standby pumps are in opeartion, if required

Apply Lock In & tag Out notice

Performance Check list

Inspect condition of shaft seal and for any leaks by operating pump suction & discharge valve

If shaft seal is leaking, disconnect coupling and replace mechanical seal or repack seal

Check mechanical coupling

Lubricate motor and pump bearings

Check operating pressures from guage , if any ,  to ensure clean strainer. Clean pump strainer

Check tightness of foundation bolt

Replace guards, cover and Check noise/vibration

Check for any kind of corrosion & treat it.

Remove cover of motor terminal box and check the termination and for any overheating

Check for any loose connection  and tighten it properly

Check running load curent for all three phases

Checklist for safety inspection on completion of PM

Remove Tag Out

Clean and check that no tools are left on the pump/motor
