Performance Check list-Half Yearly
Ensure that no leakage current is present in the transformer  after discharging
Check cable glands
Check for sign of overheating or deterioration on the LT/HT terminals
Check bushing of the transformer for any crack
Check abnormal noise. If any from the transformer.
Check the winding and Oil temperature trip setting of the transformer and check oil guage pointer for freedom
Check oil level in the transformer and test oil for acidity and sludge. Arrange oil filteration/topping as required
Check for any poor contacts on the tap changer of the winding
Check the operation of the air circulation fan of the transformer , if any
Inspect whether  the neutral terminal of the transformer connected to earth seperately or not
Carry out the earth resistance measurement of the transformer neutral and water it if required
Tighten all earth terminals
Check alarm circuits , clean contacts if any.
Inspect Buchholtz relay and its operation
Check for the proper installation of the safeties and remove Tag out
After switching On the mains , observe the voltage, current readings and record it.
Verify test results and plan correction , if required.
